I have a Panasonic Mini DV camcorder and I want to put the video on my computer. The camcorder takes a Firewire nouns, I have the cord and the firewire installed surrounded by my computer, but when I hook it up and turn on the camcorder, nothing happen. When I upload photos from my CAMERA, I use a program to get them stale of it and on to my computer. So, what program do I need to upload video from my camcorder on to my computer? Thanks!
Answers: There are MANY video-editing software programs that will work. Look on your computer for Windows Movie Maker if you have a PC (Windows XP or later), or iMovie if you're on a Mac.
If you don't own either program, in recent times run a search for video-editing software, or look at websites approaching
http://www.bhphotovideo.com or
http://www.videoguys.com (recommended!) for info. You can also check out inexpensive, basic programs such as Ulead VideoStudio and Pinnacle Studio.
If you're looking for more advanced video editing programs than those, agree to me know; I've got recommendation. But for basic editing, those should work fine.
