VHS Tape to DVD or digital folder?
Answers: Depends on your budget and what youre ultimately wanting to do...
There are specific machines you can buy now at Best Buy or any electronices store that own the VHS on one side and teh DVD Burner on the other. You just pop your video in and itll copy it to DVD and you should be able to keep watch on it on any modern DVD player.
If you're wanting to turn it into an MPEG for use on your computer for further editing or whatever you'll own to run your DVD player into your computer by means of a video seizure card or other exteranl capture device. Dazzle / Pinnacle have a variety to choose from that plug into your USB or Firewire connections and help yourself to RCA connections into them.
You said EASIEST...that would probably be the first solution I mentioned. The BEST just depends on what outcome youre wanting...
I enjoy the dazzle. I connected a VCR to the dazzle and then the dazzle to the computer. Note: when you convert analog to digital you do lose power.
If you want to just copy a VHS (non copyrighted) (these machines will not copy copyrighted VHS) to a DVD in need editing, then you might want one of those VHS to DVD recorder.
