What is the best digital camcorder?

I want a very moral but easy to operate digital camcorder. I really don't own a maximum dollar amount to spend, but I don't want to go overboard. Would also close to to know which is best; mini-DVDs or USB with tough drive? I have read so oodles reviews that I am confused. Would just approaching to hear personal favorites. Thanks!
