I have a JVC DV camcorder beside a firewire connection to my PC but when I try to occupation video through my pc it is relating me that there is no takeover device blah blah blah....I need to numeral out what it is that I need to procure video from my camcorder to my pc so I can be paid dvd....do I need special software to do so? whoever can answer this next to the most info and get me started near what to do then I will choose them as a best answer....please serve this is pissing me off! lol thank u
Answers: Please manufacture sure your video camera is in "VCR/Play" mode otherwise your PC will not endorse it over Firewire.
Once you import the video into Windows Movie Maker you'll have need of a DVD creating software such as Roxio Easy DVD Creator. Most PC DVD burners come with some OEM free software, check out what you've get on your PC already.

Check to trademark sure your camcorder does not have anything to enable/disable the firewire/iLink/IEE1394. In totting up, you need something type of software to get hold of the image (I use Sony Vegas), but I believe some of the DVD burning software have those capabilities also and some Firewire cards come near the capture software. In decoration, I had to hit play contained by some of the consumer camcorders to activate the firewire port.
