I requirement assist near my camcorder and burning movies from it.?

I have a JVC Camcorder next to D.V. I want to hook it up to my computer and use firewire. I only hold usb ports. what do i have to own? also, i only hold a cd burner. i want to burn the movies onto discs. please help


Answers:    You basically need to buy and install a firewire card. They're cheap, assured to install and you can get them from any PC / electronics shop. Burning your footage onto cd is doable, but a bit pointless as DVD burners and medium are so cheap now. I'd buy a DVD burner and medium while you're out getting your firewire card.

You'll also need a video editing app that can produce DVDs. My inclination is Sony's Vegas Movie Studio, though there are tons others.
You can burn video to regular cd's.
If you only enjoy usb ports use them.
Capture the video with window movie maker.
