What type of chain to connect a camcorder to a PC?
Answers: What model camcorder is it?
No issue which one it is, my guess is that you might need to achieve a Firewire card for your PC. Generally speaking, Firewire is the way to be in motion for video.
SOME newer camcorders transfer video via USB, but not masses. You might also see some cables that supposedly can transmit DV via USB, but I'm still a bit leery in the region of that; it's still new, and I'd be liable to bet that many computers and software programs won't certificate it anyway.
Firewire cards are not too expensive these days, give attention to maybe $30 (the ADS Pyro card, for example - NOT the ADS Pyro A/V Link; that's a different device). Not a huge investment to procure the right compatibility. Go with it.
Go to the manufacturer website and check which specific cable that camcorder uses.
Once you know the type or code for that cable you can look for it on Ebay if you wan't to buy it for less.
A firewire nouns is not circular - it's somewhat like a USB connector but near a rounded end own a look at this webpage :-
