How to download from digital video camera on a mac?

Answers:    First, go out and buy a 4 - 6 pin firewire aka iLink or IEEE1394 cable, in need it you can't import the video to your Mac.
Connect the camera to the Mac next to the FW cable, launch iMovie and create a new project. Turn on the camera to the Play mode and when iMovie recognize it, you can control the camera from iMovie e.g. play, rewind, import etc.

Look within iMovie's Help menu for more info.
