Can I connect HC28 Sony camcorder to my Computer next to a 1394 port, play and narrative also?

My computer has a 1394 port and it say that any 1394a device like a digital camcorder can be connected. Do I still call for a firewire card? What is 1394 'a' and 'b'? Should I buy a 4 wire or 6 cable "ilink" cable?


Answers:    Yeah, maybe a firewire card would keep hold of it secure adequate, i am not sure about the knit cables, so I don`t know you should contact the customer service...
