Canon HG10 vs Sony HDR-SR5?

Hey Experts

Kindly help me to choose the best High Definition Camcorder near Harddisk.

Most of the purpose would be indoor, to capture my son's actions. I can go upto $1000.

Would appreciate if any current users of any Sony or Canon inform thier issues or recommend any of the above mentioned models.

Canon HG10 seems to be a accurate bet.
Both have 40GB /10X optical / Image stabilization.

Thankyou
Naveen

Answers:    Both of them are apt and you won't regret getting either. If you want to split pelt, HG10 would be the way to run :-) HG10 will perform better contained by low light situation but a Sony near light mounted on top would do the undertaking as well :-) HG10 is also only a little bit sharper as compared to the Sony. Sony have punchy colors that consumers like while Canon is tremendously true to natural colors that appeal to prosumers more.
