Panasonic Camera Model # VDR-D200/VDR-D100 Software?
Answers: With a DVD type camcorder it is not the camera which have to be compatible with Vista - it is the software you use to verbs and edit your video which wishes to be Vista compliant.
You should try it this way
Use a programme such as Corel VideoStudio (which is Vista compatible)- you lift the mini-disc out of your camcorder and put it into the DVD tray of your PC making sure it sits centrally in the little depression made for it.
You may own to 'finalise' the mini DVD your camera manual will explain to you how to do that - you should note though that once you hold finalised a disc you will not be able to use it again or add on further videos to it.
Inside VideoStudio you select "Insert DVD/DVD-VR" and point the programme at the DVD and follow the prompts and the video is copied from the disc into the timeline of VideoStudio so that you can expurgate it - add lots of different video together cut out bits you don't want - add titles/music/narration - If you need you can then output a record to e-mail or upload to Youtube etc. - and finally burn to a full size DVD to play in a standard player.
