I got an Everio for Christmas and used it. The software should of come on the CD but if you bought is 2nd paw or something the software is called "PowerCinema NE for Everio" and you can Download it at http://www2.cli.co.jp/products/ne/update...
BUT... This is another big letdown of the Everio, when you backup your footage it turns out as a .MOD database. This is pretty useles as you cant watch it and single a few programs support it such as Sony Vegas. But its weird and you necessitate to rename and convert the files. I've seen alot of downfalls near the Everio so i have taken mine posterior and ordered in a Sony HDR-SR7. I'm pretty sure they be made as a camera for the average peson who wants to narrative a birthday party or a footy clash but as a filmer i would expect alot more. Also be warned of the severely short battery vivacity you might wanna pack a spare.
