Why do pros bash Windows MovieMaker?
Why do pros put WMM down? They swear by Macintosh Imovie.....purely what is so bad in the order of WMM?
I know from experience about the shortfalls you can hold with memory on complex projects....and the "hanging" clips do when you are trying to move clips.....
Answers: Because it is a out bones editing software. Also pros don't do it just for fun.
Well the first answer nail it really. MovieMaker can be very unstable when dealing near larger clips and projects but ideal for the recruit and student etc to get started. It really is such a rough and ready program compared to what any professional would use...to make their living..as I do. As for iMovie...it really isn't that much different surrounded by concept...again a beginners program.
As you've started making movies and having great fun doing it you will specifically find that MovieMaker will become very limiting as you progress. When you do start to move onwards and upwards you will own a decision to spawn on the platform you want to work on...Mac, PC or Avid which is cross platform. I use both, but find the Mac platform very restricting when it comes to special effects and available software compared to PC. If you ever want to label a living in broadcast afterwards go from the start next to Avid. Once you've had your hand on a decent editing program you might look hindmost on your original query with a in no doubt amusement.
Have fun...
