I came really close to getting a Sony camcorder beside a hard drive because I needed something with which I could history over and over on, unlike tapes that wear out. But I've read here and elsewhere that here are problems with using cameras that use harddrives because of the report formate they create. It makes it difficult to bowdlerize the files either because the talent is not good or because the folder type is incompatible with most editing software. I own also been reluctant to gain a camera that records to DVD's because from what I follow, you can only transcription on a DVD once. I really don't know much at all in the order of camcorders and was hoping to attain some suggestions. Thanks.
