How can I Transfer things from my cartridge video camera to my computer?

How can i do it? What kind of plug should I buy and use?
If you own a link to the place to buy it, please include that too. THANKS!

Answers:    Does your camera hold a firewire (IEEE1394) plug? That's how most modern tape cameras do it. Otherwise, if you hold an older camera that solitary has a composite video and audio L/R out (ie, the wan, red and white RCA jacks), you will need a device that can transcode the notes. Canapus makes such devices. Some video cards also own this capability. It would be easier to share you if you could provide more information about your camera (e.g., brand and model).
Get a DVD recorder. You can at least possible find one of those. Trying to find a cable to go from your camcorder to computer might not even be possible. You can plug into the DVD recorder and play the cartridge and record it to DVD.

I'm an outmoded guy. I have outdated and new things and getting them to work together can be difficult.
