Help please!?
Answers: Greetings,
There are two ways to deal near this problem.
The first way is to convey it into repair with Sony and explain what is going on and that you would like to gain the tape out minus it being destroyed sooner. This will cost you some good money though.
The second mode would be to do a "destroy it yourself" method. You can lift to camcorder apart and see if you can save the video in the process.
There are pro's and cons to both. If you camcorder is a short time older, didn't cost a fortune to buy and you would similar to to buy an upgrade, then the do it yourself method is for you. (Factor surrounded by the cost of repair and deduct that from the cost of a up to date camcorder.) If, on the other hand, the camcorder you enjoy now is great, be expensive and you don't want to part next to it, the repair is for you.
Keep in mind that it is possible that Sony will not repair this section if the cost of repair is greater than the replacement cost and you will still be out of some money. (The don't work for free after all!)
Hope that help...
