What f-stop setting should i use to motion picture skateboarding on my consumer camera?

I have a canon 850 if that help. soon a XLR will be the better choice.

Answers:    Pick something around f5.6-8. Anything lower than that will make it difficult to hold on to things in focus. Better to hold too much in focus than enjoy focus on the pavement, rather than the accomplishment.
smaller f-stops, (larger opening) will allow faster shutter speed to stop action.

but it adjectives depend on light, lens lenght etc...

If you are using a longer focal lenght your depth of area may decrease too much next to the larger opening, making focusing to difficult. You kinda own to test to see what works.
