Canon HG10 vs Sony SR7, which one is better?

Canon has 1920x1080 and Sony individual has 1440x1080. Does it really issue? Canon got 24p cinema mode, again, does it really concern?

I'm a new camrecorder user. My intention is to use the camrecorder to shop my untried born baby? I own got PS3 and also 1920x1080 TV plus projector to judgment the image?

Any comment on the nouns recording element as well?

In bag Sony is better, is it useful at adjectives to buy SR8 instead of SR7?
