A few months ago, I purchased a new Sony Hard Disk Drive Handycam (DCR-SR82 beside 60 GB). It's a great camera and it takes great video. Yet, my attempts at video editing own been met near limited nouns. Apparently, the camera is recording files contained by MPEG2 format. The camera comes with a predetermined editing software that allows you to chop off the winding up, or the beginning of the picture...but that's it. I tried to use Windows Movie Maker for more advanced editing, but it rejects MPEG2 files. According to info on the Internet, a person must convert his MPEG2 files to AVI surrounded by order to stifle using Windows Movie Maker. This has turned into a crucial project in itself! Is in attendance a quality video editing software out in that for MPEG2 file editing? Any recommendation that don't include trying to convert every video I take? Thanks!
Answers: Sony Vegas Movie Studio supports MPEG 1 & 2. It's a correctly easy interface to work next to and includes several effects for editing; much more than just trimming the ends of your video. It retails for USD $80, but you can probably find it at a lower price.

Hey, an hour ago I didn't have a fitting answer, but I was reading industry updates, and a unknown product just popped within the market: Pinnacle VideoSpin.
It claims it can do MPEG2, you can try it for 15 days, and afterwards it's a $15 (even I have to come clean that's cheap).
