High Definition to DV / .DivX / .wmv?
I know HD is still fairly untried so might have software problems. But get it so I can have top aspect archive material which can be used then, when HD is more widespread. In the meantime required to use the HD material and convert to majority files like DivX, wmv, etc. But not sure if this is possible as I own no software for HD?

The combination of these two free apps allows you to obtain HD video on your computer and save out to any standard DV or DivX. You'd need an auxiliary app to convert to WMV.
