Firewire to usb camcorder dv problem?

i have a sharp vl nz100 digital viewcam camcorder
i want to capture teh video for the tapes on to my computer
i bought a cable it is a usbto firewire cable
one ending is usb and one end is 4 pin firewire
movie architect windows wont permit me capture video for the camcorder
does any one know how to formulate this work
or what softwarei need to grasp


Answers:    Most cameras won't work in this configuration.

You have need of a 4pin Firewire to 6pin Firewire cable, and a Firewire card for your computer. I have not ever have success next to a USB to Firewire cable because they work under different protocol.
