I realize one's a DVD, the canon's a MiniDV format, just want opinion on which is the better buy? (Both found on eBay relatively inexpensive) thnx

if you don't want to worry just about editing your tapes the the DVD chance is a pretty slick solution. The Canon is a pretty cheap camera anyway and it kind of depends on what you expect to use it for. Sometimes those cheap cameras don't hold up powerfully under unwieldy use.
