Can you serve me integer out how to do this near my video camera?
I have a camcorder that uses Mini Dv tape and I want to record what's on a VHS cassette in my V.C.R. onto the Mini DV. How can I hook up my camcorder to my vcr so that I can verbs whats on my VHS tape onto my camcorder. thankfulness
Answers: First, to clarify dukklord's post, no such adapter exists. You're referring to the adapter for VHS-C camcorder tapes. Not lone is DV not the same format as VHS, it's also a completely different TYPE of format. DV is digital, and VHS is analog. There's a short time ago no adapter that exists for that, to put in your VCR.
Now, it depends on which camcorder you own. What make/model is it? Some camcorders have inputs, and others do not. If it have the inputs, hook up the VCR's outputs to the camcorder's inputs. If the camcorder lacks inputs, then you're out of luck for the time human being. You'd have to find a place that does video duplication like this, next to a MiniDV deck.
Keep in mind that you'll call for at least two DV tape for every full VHS tape; MiniDV holds give or take a few 60 minutes of footage, though a sparsely-used "LP" mode will make it hold 90. Either road, that's well short of the 2 hours (minimum) for VHS.
You'll probably requirement two VCR's to pull that sour. You'll need an adapter for mini Dv tape to play in VCRs. Place a blank mini DV cartridge into the adapter and put in one vcr. Run the RCA cords (Yellow[Video], white and red[Audio])from the other VCR from the out ports (video out, etc.) and into the VCR next to the mini DV tape within it. Plug the cords into the back ports (Video contained by etc.) Play the tape you want to copy and press diary on the VCR with the DV cartridge in it, it should dictation the other tape straight onto the DV. When it's done press stop, and nick the DV tape out of its adapter.
