I inevitability to rip VOB files from my sony handycam?
Not to be mean but...
I dont exactness about what then models can do....
i will not buy a newer model...
i already googled it...
i dont care if you regard sony sucks, if you can't help purely leave

Answers: This is the best way to verbs the videos from the DVDs and after edit them.
Use a programme such as Corel VideoStudio - you appropriate the mini-disc out of your camcorder and put it into the DVD tray of your PC making sure it sits centrally in the little depression made for it. You may enjoy to 'finalise' the mini DVD your camera manual will narrate you how to do that - you should note though that once you enjoy finalised a disc you will not be able to use it again or incorporate further videos to it.
Inside VideoStudio you select "Insert DVD/DVD-VR" and point the programme at the DVD and follow the prompts and the video is copied from the disc into the timeline of VideoStudio so that you can gag it - add lots of different video together cut out bits you don't want - add titles/music/narration - If you will you can then output a record to e-mail or upload to Youtube etc. - and finally burn to a full size DVD to play in a standard player.

Firstly, this camera comes near software to do this. If you've not got the software, Nero will consent to you edit DVDs and/or copyright free VOB files. You can also rename a VOB record to MPG and use Windows movies maker - but this is not guaranteed.
