Answers:    The Optura 600 from canon

The Optura 600 represents the flagship of Canon's 1 chip MiniDV camcorders, the king of the Optura line. Retailing at around $1100 (up approximately $400 from the Optura 60), your money might be well-spent. The 600's huge 1/2.8" CCD promises excellent video actions, a category the Opturas have traditionally faired powerfully in. Matchbook bodies give the impression of being to be all the fume, combining portability and deed. Many matchbooks, however, present handling issues, and may annoy those expecting a professional quality to match the ample price tag. We hope the Optura 600 brought its "A-game," because we dropped it within the middle of the ring to face stale against the top MiniDV consumer cams of the year.

Video Performance
The Optura 600 sports an enormous 1/2.8” CCD near 3.5 effective MP. The camcorder also uses Canon’s RGB Primary Color Filter for a boost surrounded by video performance. The difference these specs make becomes unconcealed when you compare it to the Optura 60. The picture appears sharper and the colors are richer. The grayscale is also much more sharply defined.

Because this is Canon’s top of the line consumer camcorder, we held it up against the top models from other manufacturer. Compared to the GR-X5, one of our top video performers this year, the colors are a shade dark, and overall you might say that the Optura 600’s spectrum is more even. The black/white contrast looks better surrounded by the JVC GR-X5, however. The colors from the Sony DCR-PC1000

It all depends on what species of Youtube videos you're going to receive. If quality (as within low grain, color rendition, etc., seeing as adjectives videos compressed upon upload by youtube own horrible resolution) doesn't really matter to you, and your dream is to create low-quality viral videos (i.e. your best friend rap in a superman costume at a subway, or your neighbor's dog skating), after you really only stipulation to spend $100 or so for an Aiptek camera. You can find them on their website at www.aiptek.com. You'll only inevitability to buy a flash memory card which you can reuse over and over without element loss, so it'll be even cheaper. If you are focusing on creating short films, or short videos near more of a cinematic quality or newly a filmic look (i.e. "The Office look"), you can browse around for miniDV cameras. Although DV takes up more space on your complex drive and needs to be capture in genuine time instead of just dragging a directory onto your computer, it'll be considerably easier to edit than footage from a DVD cam, or a sturdy drive cam. I don't think here are hard drive cams for beneath $350, but if there are, and it's better to obtain that than a DVD cam, due to editing issues. So considering either a DV or complicated drive cam is a good choice. If you would close to more info on different camcorders, camcorderinfo.com is a great place to compare different models. Hope this helps!
