How have cinematography technology changed the approach society uses cameras and video?

Answers:    Cinematography technology started out with show cameras, and eventually that came to consumers as 8mm cameras. In the 1940s, video cameras be developed and used mainly within studios. As technology progressed, recorders be developed that allowed the video to be recorded, and consequently digital technology such as DV allowed for extremely high ability video. Up until recently, most individuals had switched from the feeble 8mm cameras to at least analog cartridge and/or digital tape, but cinematography be still mainly (and still is) analog. However, next to the fairly recent advent of DV and the contemporary lower end HD formats such as HDV and especially P2, and better end HD formats such as HDCAM, cinematography is becoming increasingly digital. Added to the certainty that even films shot on film move about through a digital intermediate process, soon most if not adjectives films will be shot on digital. Because of this new progress, it have changed the way society uses cameras as capably. With the new digital technology, one can gag on one's home computer. Now, instead of just simply video recording an event and tossing it aside to be watched years subsequently, people are creating their own polished video that they watch time and time again. With cheaper, better, cameras every year, and beside the exploding popularity of youtube, more and more people are turning to making short videos/films. New digital cinematography technology have worked its way down to consumers and changed the approach society uses cameras and videos by expanding our creative option, but unfortunately, at equal time, it allows more people to show how fruitless they are at making films.

Hope this helps! (Darn, miserably my school doesn't enjoy any film classes, but if I tweaked this a bit and turned it within, I could have used that A... :-)
Some lucid examples include things like open focus and rack focus. So many associates consider this during their shot compositions now that it is almost adjectives. The need for cameras to adjust the depth of paddock during movement of the characters and/or camera is a pretty big deal. Using this skill to adjust focus allowed for more manipulation of the depth of field. My favorite example of this is from Pulp Fiction when Jules and Vince walk to the apartment and Jules leans contained by toward the camera and the pull focus. Not a true rack focus, but you capture the idea.

Deep focus is a trick used adjectives of the time. There are several examples from Citizen Kane where this trick is used. Deep focus works inherently if you have lots of desk light on the scene, but indoors at night next to limited sources. Welles be awesome to develop these techniques. It is used within more shows now than ever. Escpecially things close to Matrix and other films where the comic book look requires special treatment. I judge many of the more recent examples are green peak effects, but can still be effective.
