Can I outlook my mini dv cassette through anything save for my camcorder?

I have a mini dv camcorder and we hold taped video on the cassette. Is there a style that we can take what is stored on the cassette and put in on disc format? Is in that any other way to viewpoint the mini cassettes short viewing them through the camera? We know how to connect camcorder to TV to watch what be recorded but how could we vision if the camcorder did not work? Thanks!


Answers:    best way is to convert your tape to dvd. You have to own capture software and dvd writing software. Windows XP comes near Moviemaker which captures, not sure if it writes. You can take quality capture/edit/write software on ebay for below $20 (Nero 6). If you don't have a firewire card, you'll call for to buy one (also under $20 on ebay).

The best way is to procure a DVD recorder/player that has the DV 4 pin ilink nouns. That should be available for under $300. Panasonic and JVC variety desktop DV tape players for around $1600 in their professional product queue.
