Freewheeling dvd?

This is for people who want to expurgate the files their dvd camcorder takes.

What I use is a program call FLASKMpeg which you can download for free. If converts dvds into an .avi file. You don't inevitability to copy your dvd files over, you need to put the dvd into the dvd drive. Then from in the program you find the drive, then the video_ts folder, later VTS_01_1.VOB. When you load that, the complete video will be loaded. Then you select an output database from options, advanced option. And from options, output option, select the codec that will compress your file. The best resolution will come from uncompressed, but you'll have need of plenty of disk space for that.
