I want to win a video editing program. What is the average price I wouold spend for this?
Answers: I suppose the answer is really how long is a piece of string? The sky is the goal. It depends on what you want to do with video..home memories, Youtube or professional. Starting out on PC, perfect programs such as Adobe Premiere Elements is very all right priced if you Google for it to get the best do business....under 100 bucks or Euro. If you intend to eventually turn out professional product afterwards tree AvidFreeDV..which is free and will get you used to using the Avid workflow and interface...which is the one used for 90% of what you see on TV. However if you use AvidFree you will involve an encoder for mpeg if you want to go to DVD as it singular outputs finished DV. Windows Moviemaker is usually unstable and fussy which will lead to grey hackle so go near one of the better known apps...that come from a inventor who also makes professional editing programs...such as Adobe. Whichever course you go within will be a learning curve though.
Best of luck.
If you use MAC - iLife (which includes iMovie and iDVD) comes standard.
