I want to get a camcorder for my birthday, but I dont know anything roughly them, I would like one at a plausible price and one where you are competent to save the video on a memory card, not a tape and put them onto your computer and expurgate them ect, what are the best sorts? By the way do ones which put aside on a tape can they not be save onto a computer?

Almost all modern camcorders allow you to dictation on memory stick as a secondary storage. Some dictation directly on DVD or MiniDV as their primary storage and others have internal not easy drives to store movies (HDD). HDD is the best if you want to edit movies.
I would recommend a Sony DCR-SR200 for its alleviate of use and affordability. You can find them on ebay for under $600
