How come it can not read this video report?
I would like to convert it but it say it is already compressed. IS there a approach to convert MOV. to a MPEG or WMV or AVI?
Answers: One rule of video; don't convert until you absolutely MUST. Video conversion change the file, and habitually results in some loss of power.
I'm not sure why you don't want to use QuickTime, it's a wide standard collection of formats that you might purely need to work next to sometimes.
Well, if you want to do it the long way and convert it, even though it method changing the content of the database and quite possibly losing talent along the way, I can pass you a player and a converter:
VLC Media Player - plays just roughly speaking anything:

SUPER - converts just almost anything into just almost anything:

Both programs work fine, though SUPER might take a bit while to learn. Still, it's markedly versatile.
As for editing, you might want to look into a program close to Ulead Videostudio. It can take QuickTime files, and it have a good sort of features for a program in its price catalogue. Version 7 was pretty honourable when I used to use it; now, I've moved on to Avid Xpress Pro, but Ulead Videostudio is contained by Version 11. I recommend it, but to find out if you like it as all right, you can download a 30-day free trial from their website. You edit for free for 30 days, and you can simply stop using it if you don't like it. A win-win situation.
Good luck! But once again, why don't you want to use QuickTime? I merely don't understand. It's free, it works fine, and its formats are normally used on websites, so you need the player to play such medium.
You can play MOV files using the free version of Quicktime found here:
