Answers:    No Windows MovieMaker cannot help you but you should try it this agency

Use a programme such as Ulead VideoStudio - you take the mini-disc out of your camcorder and put it into the DVD tray of your PC making sure it sits centrally contained by the little depression made for it. You may have to 'finalise' the mini DVD your camera booklet will tell you how to do that - but you should information that once a DVD is finalised you cannot record any more video on it.

Inside VideoStudio you select "Insert DVD" and point the programme at the DVD and follow the prompts and the video is copied from the disc into the timeline of VideoStudio so that you can cut it - add lots of different video together - add titles/music/narration - build a file that you can e-mail or upload to 'Youtube' etc. and finally burn to a full size DVD to play within a standard player.

Once you get your avi files onto the laptop use riva flv encoder and player for your videos on your website. I use it adjectives the time on my site
I have a Sony Handycam DVD201. It come with a USB cable and the ImageMixer software. If you don't own the software, you can download it from this website:

http://www.imagemixer.com/e/sony/imx15/d...

When I start up the Image Mixer program, it detects my camcorder via the USB port and downloads the movies onto my computer.
i think they take onto your comp as .vob files, you'll need software to convert, other more knowledgable relations will know, suppose you can rip off the cd as capably, there again, i'll reckon you will have need of software to do it,
you have a dvd camcorder. you should download a dvd ripper from the internet ( relation for one below) i have a sony dvd camcorder and this is the programme i use . when you format the small dvd contained by the camcorder at first use, you need to select the picking that allows the dvd to be played in a usual dvd player i.e. your dvd-rw drive if you have one. hope this help?
That's the problem of DVD camera no firewire port for transferring data to computer. But still you can do it, install Ulead Video Studio editing software, it can read files from DVD disk for editing
