What's better a DV camcorder or a DVD camcorder?
Answers: Both formats will soon be antiquated. I would acquire a hard disk camcorder. That is the fastest and most convenient route of transferring the movies to your PC.
If you MUST get one of the above formats later get DV because a) it stores more background than DVD and b) it's a smaller camcorder.
Well, this is an opinion. You resolve which you think is better.
The DV is better.
The DV format is uncompressed so will xfer to your computer contained by its original illustrious quality. You can later edit it and burn to a cd or dvd surrounded by any format or quality that you desire. In its imaginative form you will put approx 30 mins of high ability film on to a DVD.
The DVD type camera will compress your picture down to dvd quality and will supply you various merits dependent on your pre set selction which means already you own lost some quality within doing this.
As in adjectives things there are provisos. All camcorders can rise and fall in its record quality. Depends how much you are prepared to income.
Read reviews in magazine or internet search engines to back you make a decree.

First of all, you can gt 6 Rewritable DVDs for around $15 from ebay, etc. You can keep soundtrack on them forever.
The quality of a DVD camcorder is better than cassete. The DVD is the newer technology.
If you want to market it after using it, its resale value will be much high than cassette. I sold my 1 year old sony mini DV camcorder for individual $89. Thats how much the value is.
The DVD camcorders are built next to better quality because they are newer.
