How to introduction DVCAM tape to mac in need a camera?

I recently have an event filmed (semi-professionally) and he edited the show and give it to me on DVD, I also purchased the original DVCAM tape from the guy and now want to bowdlerize it myself on my macbook. I just required to know if theres any importing/input devices that will connect via firewire that I could use wit these DVCAM tapes. And the best ones to do the assignment? (UK recommendations!)


Answers:    DVCAM is almost alike as DV except the tape speed is faster. A lot of Sony miniDV camcorders can play put a bet on DVCAM (but not record it) as long as they are on miniDV tape, not the full size tapes. The full size tape only work contained by professional cameras and decks. Or you could rent a DVCAM deck or clutch your tapes to a video service company and own them capture files onto a portable firm disk.
