Which Sony Handycam is truly better, relief!?
Now Ive seen the Sony DCR-SR190E for 740 euros, which have a better image sensor of 1/3.0 ClearVid CMOS, progressive scan, 2100 pixels, shutter speed 1/3-1/800.
So from the above info, the sensor is manifestly better, its progessive (which I read is better?), more pixels, but...the shutter speed is slower on the second model.
Any advice would be great as I want appropriate quality movies, but Im not intending to become the subsequent Speilberg! Thanx
Answers: The SR190E is technically better, but that doesn't mean it's better for you. You mention portrait noise beside the SR32E - is it really noise, or own you degraded the image trait by editing the video? Both the SR32E and the SR190E record within MPEG-2, which is a lossy format. It doesn't take much editing back the quality suffers! I agree next to Magician about the problems of editing DVDs, but (s)he's passageway off the fleck about "tape" (I assume MiniDV) - it's the one and only way to walk if you plan on doing any serious editing.
The sr190 is far superior. I recommend though buying an SR5 which is HD. I had one for lb400ish and they own come down massively since then, it will blow away anything you'd procure on a SR190 or SR32. Also consdier the SR52 over the SR32, only give or take a few lb30 more and has a 1 megapixel lens. More pixels dont issue if you jump to HD, a 1 Megapixel HD camera would well outperform a 6 megapixel standard camera.
If you do go HD though unprotected in mind you'll obligation to spend another lb50 on editing software as you cant edit HD surrounded by standard programs like window movie maker. I also recommend going for a unyielding drive camera, tapes and disks are a nightmare to gag.
