Sony handycam finalizing?

after recording on a sony handycam is it needed or recommended to use the finalizing facet?
are there any pros and cons to finalizing characteristic?
using a dvd+rw discs
will i be able to scenery the dvd on a non sony dvd player if its not finalized or does it need to be finalized?


Answers:    If you did not finalize the DVD after you enjoy done recording, it can not be read by any device save for the sony handycam itself. Pros: dvd can now be played even surrounded by a DVD player. Cons: No further writing on the is possible.
