What's the best camera for amateur motion picture making?

I'm in highschool and want to persue a art in motion picture making, but I need a spanking new camera. What's a good camera to use for motion picture making that's not very expensive? I know camera's can be pricey but I'd approaching to try to save some money since I'm on a predetermined budget.

Answers:    The important point in motion picture making is having a honourable script, actors, directing, lighting, audio and music, polite editing, etc.. The camera is one of the last things you should verbs about if you're in recent times starting out.

That being said, you should look for a camera that have at least some instruction book controls--at the very most minuscule white balance and exposure, ideally encyclopaedia focus, and also a microphone input is essential. Don't forget to save some of your budget for a tripod and hopefully a boom mic and some lights, even cheap home depot shop lights.

I would recommend miniDV or HDV since they are the most compatible beside editing software.
A good choice would be a mini DV camera, or a suitable digital videocamera to make editing easier.
