When I import mini dv footage onto my computer what size will the box be? What I suggest is will it be like a 720 by 480 box size? My camcorder (Canon ZR800) shoots surrounded by the 16:9 widescreen format, and I wanted to know this because I work surrounded by Adobe After Effects.

Answers: Yes, it would still be 720x480. While that unit does own a 16x9 feature, it's any accomplished by letterboxing or anamorphic squeezing, I can't remember which. It's not close to the XL2 that has a true 16x9 (and 960x480 resolution)
