Answers: A good 'Starter' cam for when you're getting serious is a Canon XL1S. I use one for my internet video business which also produces DVDs, so the trait has to stumble upon that standard.
They're discontinued now, so you'll solitary get one hand-me-down, but they are very reliable and present a fantastic picture for the money.
They were replaced by the XL2, which is HD (I think) but that cost in the region of 4x as much!
Equally important is the video production software you want to use. Make sure the camera is compatible beside the computer and software.
