Buy this:

Put it in your computer (pretty easy). Now use window movie maker or the software that come with the card to put it onto your computer.

For the camera:
After you thieve the video with the camera put the card into your compute, or plug the cable from the camera to computer. Go to the place where on earth you find your pictures, and scroll the the bottom. Your videos will be within. Right click on the video and press copy, go to the place on your computer you want to squirrel away it, and right click and press paste. The video is very soon on your computer.

I hope this helps!

By tapes do you propose VHS tapes? If so next you need an analog converter. If you anticipate the mini dv tapes after you will need a firewire nouns, as for your canon digital A620, all you call for is your USB cord and for all thesis medias, you should get some really nice editing software, approaching pinacle studio 11 plus.
