DVD Camcorder Q?

I have borrowed my friends dvd camcorder to picture my friends wedding, I chock-a-block a 30min disc and finalised it to play it back on a dvd player, My Q is - I solely used 6mins of the second disc and therefore not finalised this one, Will i loose the 6mins of footage if i store it on the shelf until i stipulation it again.
Please advise
