Camcorder Connection Problem?

I have a JVC GR-D750U mini dv camcorder and I'm trying to invasion video from my camcorder to my computer. When I put in my firewire card, everything is detected and working ok. When I connect my camcorder to my computer via firewire, everything works ok. Everything is connected.
As soon as I start capture video, an error message pops up. It says that the computer disconnected the nouns and check if everything is properly connected. I don't know, but it keeps on up. Btw, I'm using Windows Xp and tried using Windows Vista. Problem occurs on both of them.

Answers:    First of adjectives you will have better luck trouble shooting on Xp. Assuming you do not hold a dual boot system with both xp and vista I purpose the following.
Ok so I surrounded by this type of situation it looks like any a issue with your software or a issue near your hardware.

My feedback
Try loading the video with window movie maker if you enjoy not done so. If same problem exists try checking if your camera came next to software some times there are drivers you might obligation. If all above fail change the cable. If problem continues your camera might hold an issue.
Just a thought, is your camera hooked up to electricity while you are downloading. That might help. What program are you using for the occupation?
