Question on uploading video camera footage?

I have a Canon DC100 and I use mini DVD-R discs. The problem is that my camera doesn't hold a cord to transfer footage from my video camera to the computer. I am not competent to use a cord because there are no plugs. I be wondering if there is any other process i can use to catch the video to my computer. I own a Dell if that makes any difference.

Answers:    You will own to 'finalise' the mini DVD first before your PC will read it - your camera instruction manual will tell you how to do that - but you should write down that once a DVD is finalised you cannot record any more video on it.

Then use a programme call Ulead VideoStudio - you take the mini-disc out of your camcorder and put it into the DVD tray of your PC making sure it sits centrally surrounded by the little depression made for it.

Inside VideoStudio you select "Insert DVD" and point the programme at the DVD and follow the prompts and the video is copied from the disc into the timeline of VideoStudio so that you can edit it - attach lots of different videos together - attach titles/music/narration - make a report that you can e-mail or upload to 'Youtube' etc. and finally burn to a full size DVD to play in a standard player.

Take the DVD out of the Camcorder, and use the DVD Drive on your computer.

Does your computer own a DVD Drive or is it a CD Drive?
Hello.

Before anwering, I enjoy to assume that you are using a DVD-ROM (or COMBO Drive or DVD-Writer) with your PC that COULD read a DVD disc from your camcorder.

First, try your best to use DVD-RW disc fairly than DVD-R. Before recording your camcorder, try to set your demo format as DVD-VR. This will make it easier to upload the video to your PC.

Second, finalised your DVD after you enjoy completed your filming.

Third, seize yourself a GOOD video editing software. Try ULEAD VideoStudio ver.11+ or PINNACLE Studio Ver.11+. In ULEAD VideoStudio, Choose 'EDIT -> Insert Media Files to Timeline -> Insert DVD/DVD-VR'

Your will be able to introduction your DVD video from your camcorder seamlessly to your PC. No cables required at adjectives.

Hope that this will solve your problem.

Best Regards.
