How can I download video from my camcorder to my computer?
Answers: Hello,
Well, You are in luck indeed as BOTH your Camcorder and Laptop come with ever so vague IEEE-1394 (Or better known as FIREWIRE and sometime call i-LINK).
Just get the parallel cable.
Next, have a GOOD video Editing Software for your Laptop. I would similar to to recommend ULEAD VideoStudio Ver.11+ or Pinnacle Studio Ver.11+. You could use also SONY Vegas or Adobe Premier but I don't recommend you to use Windows MovieMaker. It just don't trademark the cut.
Very Best Regards.
Based on my assessment your Video Cam supports USB data verbs. What to do is plug the usb cable from the camcorder to the usb input of your PC. If you are using windows XP it will automatically detect the exotic device and could ask you for a CD driver if essential if your cam is plug and play no nid to worry going on for the driver. Go to Windows explorer ang seek for the fresh drive or device if any (you will notice some correction in the explorers configuration) afterwards you can browse the file/video content of your camcorder. [Ready to burn or edit it]. Dont um and ah to ask more if it won't work ^^V
