Answers: Thanks.
You hold an analogue camera.
You need a TV card beside analogue-in capability or S-Video as your camera also supports this.
Some Freeview cards also own analogue-connections so you get the best of both worlds.
Maplin and PC World (UK) are your best bet for these cards. You may also consider the Dazzle devices that allow you to convert your VHS tape to DVD. It uses the same connections as your camcorder.
I don't know what your AV head looks like. It should own a yellow RCA Phone plug (video) and a white RCA phono plug (audio) at one closing stages. Maybe it has alike at the other end also.
If it is a SCART plug at the other completion, you can get an AV organize in Maplin or PC World to suit. You may own to get the three-lead assortment (red RCA phono connector as well as pale and white ones.
The Dazzle box should come with software to allow you to seizure the video from the camera. It may have it's own lead. Check before buying any others...
Tips:
- Make sure any on-screen display on the fold out blind or viewfinder is switched off as this can habitually be output to the capture device.
- hang on to the camcorder plugged into the mains to assert constant tape speed.
- use the utmost setting for video sampling 8MB/s -> 10MB/s is usually sufficient.
- Consider extra memory as your processor will be working harder.
- Defragment your hard drive in the past capturing, or buy a second internal strong disk and only takeover to that.
Good luck!
