What wire piece would I need to put this on my computer? I own a Dell something if that is substantial

Answers:    You'd need a FireWire (aka IEEE1394 or DV or iLink) cable.

Make sure your computer have a port for such a cable. I am NOT referring to USB; there's a difference. If your computer does not have the right port, you will entail to install a FireWire card; such cards aren't too expensive these days.

When you acquire the cable, make sure it have the correct ends; they come in 4- and 6-pin version. Your camcorder likely have a 4-pin port, and your computer will have any a 4- or a 6-pin port when it has one. Get the appropriate cable; they receive all combinations.

Thanks for showing us the camera, that help a lot surrounded by determining how it would work with your computer; I need more users would do the same.
If your computer does not own a firewire port (check the cable that comes with the camcorder for a nouns on your pc) they are very cheap on ebay (under $20).
