How do I get hold of my JVC camcorder (GR-D244U) to upload to my computer?

I have the 4 pin cable and can connect it to my computer, but I return with a pop up wizard that says USB device not known. Do I need a special driver or software? If so, where on earth can I get it?


Answers:    The GR-D244U is a MiniDV camcorder, so you have need of firewire, not USB. You can get one for in the region of $20, and once that's fitted you can capture video next to pretty much any video editor.
