I just get a new JVC camcorder and it merely records contained by .MOD format (very frustrating). Does anyone know a simple way to convert the .mod format to a more adjectives one such a mpeg? Most people near JVC camcorder say to only rename it to a mpg format but I cant figure out how to do that. I know how to rename it but not translation the extension (the .mod part). can someone please help?
Answers: It sounds approaching you are using windows. To gain windows to show you the wallet extensions:
from windows explorer -> Tools Menu -> Folder Options -> View Tab -> uncheck the box "Hide extensions for prearranged file types" -> OK
Now adjectives your files should show extensions, and when you rename it you can simply change the extension from .mod to .mpg
