Can I use MINIDVD beside my Dell Inspiron 6000?
I am planning to buy Sony camcorder. I have a confusion wether to budge for MINIDV or MINIDVD camcorder?? I want to buy "Sony Handycam DCR-DVD108 MiniDVD Camcorder" which uses MINIDVD. Can I use these MINIDVD with my Dell Inspiron 6000 directly after demo with camcorder?
A sale guy at circuitcity told me that there are two sockets for DVD surrounded by DVD drive. One regular for regular DVDs and second one is small in alike DVD drive to accomodate miniDVDs. But I do not see any small socket in my dell inspiron 6000 DVD Drive.
What is a better selection to store recordings for longer time? MiniDV or MiniDVD?
Your input is much appreciated. Thank you very much contained by advance.
Answers: MiniDV video camcorders provide the best available video quality.
Hard drive camcorders are subsequent best in video trait.
DVD based camcorders are the worst for video standard (especially for editing), should be recalled by the manufacturer and recycled - and the peopl who bought them should get their money final.
If you get a miniDV cartridge camcorder, you will need to own a firewire port on your camcorder. Firewire, IEEE1394, iLink are all indistinguishable thing and will verbs the video from the tape to the computer. Check your computer's hardware settings surrounded by My Computer (Windows) to see if you have Firewire. Macintoshes enjoy had Firewire ports for copious years. They will use USB for transferring stills from the memory card in the camcorder.
Hard drive camcorders and flash-memory card camcorders will use USB for transferring.
I won't describe DVD camcorders because they should be in motion away and you should not buy one.
