Is it possible to fix a video cartridge?

My video of my kids when they were younger get stuck in my vcr and snapped when retrieved I am heart broken does anyone know if in attendance is somewhere or who that can repair it and transfer it onto cd??

Answers:    Yes it can be repaired, simIply move some of the cassette from both sides of the cassette, it may be necessary to cut bad the bad portion of the cartridge. then put scotch cartridge on the inside where it won't come within contact with the cassette head, as you are looking at the cassette from the front, that is the front, the scotch cassette goes astern that. Use a 1/2 inch size tape, since i.e. the width of the cartridge itself. Carefully cut off the excess from the edges, afterwards using your thumb, rotate the spindle until the tape retracts hindmost into the cassette.
If you look at the beginning of a video cartridge you will see where the transparent boss tape join the black video tape a small piece of video. This is a special fixing tape. If you're wary you can remove a piece from a tape you don't want to fix on your own. Or you could use a piece of lightweight sticky cartridge from a craft shop. (It's what I use on my tapes.) But product sure you trim it correctly or it will stick to your heads.
