My video Camera.. In the Sun .. Basically unusable..?
Answers: Have you somehow switched to a guide exposure setting? If so, switch it back to automatic or set it to allow smaller number light within.
Your camcorder is likely doing the equivalent of what happen when you've been surrounded by a dark room so that your eyes uncap wider, then suddenly be in motion outdoors in bright sunlight and your brain tell your eyes to close the irises a bit; but camcorders, if set to manual, don't enjoy their brains telling them to close that iris up again.
Check your guide for how to adjust the manual settings. Hope this help! If you'd like me to assist, please post the camcorder's model number, and I can try to find its booklet to point you in the right direction.
EDIT: Based on the model number GR-D395u, I've found its instruction book through http://www.jvc.com and have found some possible solutions:
1. (Page 6) If you need to return to automatic mode, there is a button that say AUTO. This will allow the camcorder to set the exposure manually, and should return it to normal operation if a doomed to failure exposure setting is causing the problem.
2. (Page 38) If you prefer to adjust the exposure manually and override the camera's automatic setting, you may do so by:
-Setting the camera mode to MANUAL
-Going into the FUNCTION menu (access the menu via the controls inside the LCD flip-out panel and using the arrow buttons to scroll to FUNCTION, select it with the middle button), and setting the EXPOSURE to MANUAL. Darken the symbol with the down-arrow switch.
-Keep in mind that if you choose to adjust manually, you will feasible have to adjust this setting beneath changing oil lamp conditions.
Hope this helps!
its the settings most feasible, reset it if you know how
